What I have learned during this project

Through out the period I was working on my project, I learned many useful things that added a value to my skills.
In the first place, I learned how to get information I need by searching through the Internet. Other technical things I learned in designing the Blog are how to add links, posts, formatting the paragraphs and the whole style of the page. Moreover, I learned how to insert images and videos.
Furthermore, it was interesting to communicate with my colleagues by sharing ideas by writing comments to each other.

Individual action in the UAE to solve this problem..

First of all, as we can see this problem (global warming) have to have some changing from humans in the first place to solve this problem. As well in the UAE, Dubai is the most polluted city in the country. In the following I’m going to give some idea that can help to decrease the danger of global warming.
One idea is by distributing handouts about causes and effects of global warming, in order to increase people’s awareness. Second idea is to allocate one day to stop cars and use some other methods of transportation. For example we can use bicycles instead of cars for near by places, usage of public buses for faraway places; this can decrease the pollution in the country. Another idea is to make lectures and prepare forums, participating all companies staff and students, showing the latest and updates on air pollution on earth and conclude proper solution.
All in all I hope we all corporate to save the world to be a safer place and live a healthier life.

Here are some advises to help stop global warming

UAE and Global Warming

One of the main causes of global warming is carbon dioxide. Scientist from Australia have been published a new plan with the Minister of Environment and Water of the UAE, to save the planet from global warming by making the ocean bloom with microscopic plants that can absorb carbon dioxide.

The Professor Ian Jones plan to add urea granules to parts of the ocean plant will bloom and act like trees. As the professor says one thousand tones of urea can capture 10,000 tones of carbon dioxide. The Minister of Environment and Water, Mohammad Saeed Al Kindi found this is a good plan and wishes to meet him on his next visit to Dubai.

Rising Temperature

One of the major effects is rising temperature. All studies on the earth have showed that in the average temperature in the global have increased of about 0.74 °C during the last 100 years. As the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says that the most effect in the global that have led the temperature increase is greenhouse gases which have leads to warm the surface and lower atmosphere. However there is some natural effect that are helpful to lead the temperature rise, solar variation combined with volcanoes, which allows hot, molten rock, ash and gases such as Carbon Dioxide and sulfur dioxide (SO2) sprayed in the weather which cause dangers results in the environment.
There are some projects that study the temperature in the future if we continue to populate the weather. For example IPCC project found that the temperature will increase by 1.1 to 6.4 °C (2.0 to 11.5 °F) between 1990 and 2100. So I think we are in danger position, so we have to work hard and find a solution to solve this problem.

Effects of global warming

There are numerous and varied effects on the environment. In the following, I am going to look at different effects for global warming. The main effect is an increasing global average temperature, in the last century the studies shows that the temperature increase 1F. Another effect of global warming is that the climate change is one of the important problems facing the global on the earth, because there are floods in the areas, also the atmosphere gets suddenly very harsh and there are droughts in places, which were having good rainfall earlier. One more effect is that rising sea levels. In the last century the result shows a rise of around 20cm, this is mean 1 to 2mm per year. Further more the ice will melt which are very dangers for those animals that live there.

Greenhouse gases

We can see the main cause of global warming is greenhouse gases. Now let as talk about the cause of greenhouse gases in details. Greenhouse means hothouse for plants that need heat. But this is not only the cause of gases there are some greenhouse gases happen naturally in the atmosphere and some others caused by human activities such as burning of fossil fuel and coal. Greenhouse gases include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. These gases increase the temperature of the earth slightly; especially the increasing atmospheric CO2 is likely the most significant cause of the current warming.

Causes of Global Warming.

Most of things in our world have causes on the environment. In the following I am going to look at the various reasons that have led to this development. The first point worth mentioning is Carbon Dioxide Emitted from transportations such as cars, trucks, airplanes, about 36.5% of U.S carbon dioxide emissions comes from the burning of gasoline. Another 40% of U.S. comes from the burning of fossil fuels for the purpose of electricity generation. Second most important cause is greenhouse gases such as water vapor, carbon dioxide and methane, these gases heats the surface and lower atmosphere, which emits some energy back to earth. Another major cause of global warming is population, normally every year the number of population rise which means more method of transportation will used which cause more methane, carbon dioxide will spread in the weather, as well its will going to help cause global warming.

What's Global Warming?

Nowadays the most important problem in the world is global warming. Everybody believes that the world temperature is increasing because of carbon dioxide from our cars, factories and power plants and so many others. Furthermore studies show that the world has risen by about 1F in the last century. Moreover the climate change is caused by a lot of things such as a rise in the sea level, rainfall patterns, plants and humans.

There are lots of causes which make global warming happen. First thing is atmospheric greenhouse gases (water vapor, carbon dioxide, and other gases) Scientists say that temperatures would be much lower than they are now without the greenhouse effect. Second thing is air pollution caused by cars, trains, factories and burns. Nowadays the United States is the largest source of global warming pollution.

Finally everybody has to change the way they live, so that we can avoid huge changes in the future.

Personal profile

Hi everybody my name is Khalid Moh'd. I'm from the UAE. I was born in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1986 and live in Abu Dhabi in a nice villa. I live with my parents’ (father, mother, brother and sisters). More over I have my own room and car which is a Toyota Camry.

Now Iam 20 years old, I am a student in Abu Dhabi Men's College and I have been study civil engineering for two years. I enjoy my time in college and spend a nice time with my friends. My hobbies are football and car racing. Also I like to watch movies in a cinema which is action and history movies. More over I like to travel so much, I have been to Malaysia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia for umra and Oman. But the country that I like the most is Malaysia because it has a lot of nice views and weather. However I like fast food too much such as hamburger, Lebanon’s food and Arabian food such as rise with meet.

In conclusion, my wish is to continue my studies and graduate with high marks. In the following blog. I am going to talk about global warming for my project this semester. I hope you all will enjoy this experience with me.
